How to Dig a Hole
by Tempe the Trencher

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to get down and get dirty.
...f
irst, let the big dogs start the hole for you. They have bigger paws and
you can get down there more efficiently if you let them start the process.

Use your mouth and bite the dirt, after a while it tastes like
peanut butter if you really use your imagination.
Its also a great way to get the tartar off your teeth.
Get into the hole and give it your whole concentration. Dig furiously!
It makes you look important in the world of terriers, after all
we are working dogs. This is not just a job, it's a career!
.

Make sure to stick your butt up in the air, as it really helps to get your
nose down into the hole to smell all those wonderful varmit aromas.
An occasional wag of the tail is often helpful to keep the
motivation high and the dirt flying.

Focus on the hole at hand, none of this willy nilly dig a little here,
dig a little there. Make absolutely certain that no one else is allowed near your hole.

Your goal is to get your whole body in the hole before your
humans come and try to clean you up.
"Work quickly, work dirty!'. Thats my motto.
