Care of Brood Bitches

Brood bitches need a diet high in protein from lean meats, internal organs,
and hard cooked eggs. To this should be added
Vitamin E (wheat germ)
vitamin C (tomato juice)
B-Complex (brewer's yeast)
Calcuim (bone meal)

Cod liver oil should be added for the absorbtion and utilization in the body of the calcium and phosphorus present in the bone meal. The balance of these two important minerals, necessary for growth and bone development and for the prevention of eclampisa, is of prime importance.

Add carbohydrates in the form of a high quality kibble containing some salt and the trace minerals.
